About the Trainer

Dan Berstein, MHS is a mediator and trainer with expertise in the areas of mental health communication, conflict resolution, accessibility, and the management of challenging behaviors.  Dan is Vice Chair of the Diversity Committee at the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution and a former Mediator Advisory Board Member at the NY Peace Institute.  He leads the Dispute Resolution in Mental Health Initiative at the CUNY Dispute Resolution Center and he hosted New York City’s first event as part of the White House National Dialogue on Mental Health.  Dan holds a master’s degree in Mental Health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School.
